Strobist Kit FreePower Strobo Octa with 90cm softbox

FreePower Strobo Octa is a set designed for strobists working outdoors and in a mobile atelier. The set includes a 90 cm octagonal softbox. The set can be a perfect complement to other FreePower Strobo sets.

The heart of the set is the Yongnuo YN560 III lamp (v2018). A device very popular among photojournalists and strobists, whose quality and efficiency can compete with higher-end lamps. The lamp is powered by a set of four AA batteries. YN560 III works in two flash trigger modes (manual and stroboscopic).

An octagonal softbox with a diameter of 90 cm allows you to illuminate the photographed scene with a wide beam of light. The shape, particularly appreciated by professional photographers, allows for very natural light reflections. This type of light modifier is often placed above subjects or as the main light on a set.

The lamp is mounted on a dedicated adapter that allows you to attach light modifiers in the Bowens bayonet standard. The adapter has a joint that makes it easier to operate the light and an additional umbrella mounting socket.

The whole thing is mounted on an ultra-light FreePower 225cm tripod. The tripod will successfully cope with the load of reporter lamps with modifiers (when outdoors, it is worth considering adding weight to them).

To trigger the lamp from the set, we recommend the RF603 II or YN560-TX II transmitters. When choosing transmitters, remember to select a device for a specific system (camera brand).
